What are sugar scrubs and what are they used for?
I just bought some Burt’s Bee’s body wash and it came with a trial packet of sugar scrub. The only problem is is that I don’t know what they’re are for and how to apply them.

They’re for any rough, dry skin
You can use them on your face, rub lightly, for smoother and softer skin
I also use sugar scrubs to remove dry skin on my lips. You can also use scrubs all over your body really, it softens your skin
careful if you have a tan though, it will remove it haha.

its for exfoliating! just wet the area of your skin you want to exfoliate (read the body and see if its for body or face) then apply the scrub and wash your skin with it. then wash it off. your skin will be super smooth!

You can make your own “sugar scrub”.
The sugar is your scrubbing agent.
DIY
Sugar, extra virgin olive oil, and honey – BAM there you go, save money. This method provide you a healthier choice: antioxidant and emollient from olive, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing property from honey, and soft scrubbing agent from sugar. Also, this version may be a greasy and oil, so you make sure you cleanse properly. But in the end, you really do not need a scrub. You use it if you like the feeling, but make sure you can tolerate scrubbing.
Important note: scrubbing is not as effective as a gentle and well-formulated chemical exfoliant such as glycolic acid or lactic acid or salicylic acid depending on your skin type. Why? Chemical exfoliant’s acid particles are more evenly disperse onto the skin, thus, unglueing dead skin cells more evenly in comparison to a scrub. Scrubbing beads or “sugar” provide an uneven treatment; you have to manually move the scrubs to areas you want to exfoliate and there is no guarantee that you will slough off all the dead skin cells in that area. Chemical exfoliant agents are smaller vs scrub, thus, they do the job better. But of course, make sure you can tolerate and acid exfoliate.
Best wishes
